LDS GUIDE is an Annual Resource Used by Active Members,
Leaders, and LDS New to Southern Nevada

The 2008 Edition of The Guide for LDS in Southern Nevada will soon be available for pickup at designated newsstands around the Las Vegas Valley. Distribution begins around the Annual LDS General Conference.The entire publication will be in full-color. The stakes section has been expanded so that each stake has two pages for more legible maps and listing information.

The free annual LDS directory--listing maps, stake and ward leaders, and other information of interest to LDS in the Southern Nevada area--is distributed FREE throughout the Las Vegas valley.

Over 20,000 copies of the long-awaited 2008 edition of The Guide will be circulated at the various LDS bookstores and LDS credit unions, and other LDS outlets throughout the valley. The publication, with a full-color photo of the Las Vegas Temple on the cover, is the 16th edition of this directory, which has been very popular with leaders and active members of the Church.

Included in the fully indexed Guide will be 20 maps showing regional, stake and ward boundaries. A color-coded centerfold map, giving a detailed overview of the Las Vegas Valley, shows the location of stake centers, buildings, and LDS points of interest.

Contents include information on LDS education, LDS broadcasts, LDS-oriented publications, LDS credit unions, Las Vegas Nevada Mission, family entertainment, Church headquarters, General Authorities, area and regional leaders, and the Las Vegas and St. George temples (including schedules).

Information found within the publication includes ward meeting times, stake conference dates, youth dances, Church agencies, building foyer phone numbers, stake auxiliary presidents and other stake leaders.

The directory is supported by a number of advertisers and sponsors and given away at no charge to its readers. Local church leader interested in quantities of the directories for their units can call 438-7776 for free delivery.
 

Description

A Who's Who and a What's What of the LDS community in Southern Nevada. First produced in 1986 as a Latter-day Sentinel publication, The Guide for LDS in Southern Nevada has been published since 1989 by the former Managing Editor and Assistant Editor of the Southern Nevada edition of the Latter-day Sentinel newspaper. The 2008 edition is the 16th.

A full-color cover of 50# offset, trimmed to 8-1/8 x 10-3/8 inches. Fully indexed to easily cross-reference the thousands of facts and items of information about anything and everything Mormons want and need to know about the Church in the Las Vegas and Moapa valleys.

The 2008 edition of The Guide  is a directory / almanac of nearly 100 pages of vital LDS information as shown in its table of contents.
